Nazhakat Jibran Ali has been working as a midwife at the Labasa Hospital Birthing Suite following his 2019 completion of a Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery at the Sangam College of Nursing.
Nazhakat is one of 139 nurses that have been upskilled through Australia’s support for midwifery education with the Fiji National University and the Sangam College of Nursing over the past three years.
Australia, in partnership with the Ministry of Health & Medical Services – Fiji, is proud to support nurses like Nazhakat to further their education and promote improved maternal and child health across Fiji.
Passionate about midwifery and making a difference in this important area, Mr Ali will continue his education journey under the Australia Awards program, having recently been successful to study a Master of Midwifery in Australia. We wish him all the best.
